Nerilie Abram is a paleoclimate scientist, with research expertise covering natural climate variability and human-caused climate change impacts from the tropical oceans to Antarctica. She is currently Professor of Climate Science at Australian National University.
Nerilie is also Deputy Director of the Australian Centre for Excellence in Antarctic Science and commencing in February 2024, will be Deputy Director for Partnerships at ARC Centre of Excellence for 21st Century Weather.
Nerilie’s keynote presentation will focus on the impact of climate variability on dangerous fire weather in South-East Australia.
